PM Modi Launches Umang E-Governance App – All At One Place!

The government has launched an app which will act as an one-stop destination for the all government services which inclufes finding centers for CBSE exam to posting PF queries.

At the 5th Global Conference on Cyberspace, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a standalone app for all the e-governance activities.

The app has been named Umang (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance).

The app has been designed and developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEiT) and the National e-Governance Division.

The new Umang app aims to make it easier for the citizens to easily connect to the government on internet.

The app load in a number of features ranging from offering hp to students, senior citizens, and farmers by giving a single-point access to all important government services.

It also includes services like Aadhaar, DigiLocker, and PayGov integrated into the Umang app. Umang app will offer over 100 services of both center and state government on a single platform.

The app supports Aadhaar as an authentication mechanism for different services.

The platform can be used to do any task related to e-governance like paying utility bills, income tax filing, booking of LPG cylinder or to put in a query for Provident Fund account or Aadhaar.
